The inaugural ODLC Lifetime Achievement Award went to George Hicks who served as the ODLC treasurer for more than 50 years and has been officially renamed in Hicks’ honour.
Nancy Parkhill (ETFO) Halton received the Political Activist Award.
Laurie West of the Worker’s Health & Safety Centre, and CUPE Local 343, was awarded the Linda Jones Women’s Activist Award
The ODRT/OFL Disability Response Team Award went to Amy Korzack, president of the ETFO Halton Designated Early Childhood Educators.
Mike Gibson of Unifor Local 707 and Ford Motor Company received the Health and Safety Activist Award.
Lesley Dakins of Oakville Transit and CUPE 1329 was the recipient of the Barney Banovac United Way Social Activist Award.
